1. Introduction

Welcome to Shipycorn. These Terms of Service govern your use of our platform, which focuses on discovering and supporting projects.

By using Shipycorn, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use our services.

2. Using Our Service

Age Requirements: You must be at least 13 years old to use Shipycorn.

Account Responsibility: If you create an account, you're responsible for maintaining its security and for all activities under your account.

Acceptable Use: When using Shipycorn, you agree not to:

• Post content that's illegal, harmful, or violates others' rights
• Misrepresent yourself or your affiliation with others
• Interfere with the platform's operation or security
• Collect user data without permission
• Use the service for unauthorized commercial purposes
• Manipulate upvotes using bots, fake accounts, or coordinated voting

3. Launches & Scheduling

All launches on Shipycorn go live on Mondays at 14:00 UTC. We launch a limited number of projects each week so every product gets real visibility.

Free launches: Listed on launch day within the weekly free slots. Free users can schedule launches in advance within the allowed scheduling window.

Premium launches: One-time payment processed via Polar. Premium launches get priority scheduling, guaranteed dofollow backlinks, homepage placement, and startup spotlight features.

We reserve the right to reject or delay any launch at our discretion, including for quality, relevance, or policy reasons. Rejected premium launches are eligible for a refund via Polar.

4. Backlinks & Badges

Shipycorn offers dofollow backlinks to launched projects. There are three ways to earn one:

• Premium launch: Guaranteed permanent dofollow backlink — no conditions, no expiry.
• Weekly top 3: Free launches that finish in the top 3 of weekly upvoting earn a dofollow backlink and a winner badge.
• Badge embed: Any launched project can earn a dofollow backlink by embedding the official Shipycorn badge on their website. The badge must remain visible and link back to Shipycorn. We verify badge placement automatically.

Backlinks are permanent as long as the project remains on the platform and complies with these terms. We reserve the right to remove or nofollow backlinks for projects that violate our policies.

Winner badges and rankings are determined solely by community upvotes. We do not guarantee any specific ranking outcome.

5. Product Acceptance & Review

What we accept: Shipycorn is a platform for startups, SaaS products, developer tools, micro-startups, side projects, and other modern tech products. We accept both launched products and products in beta or early access.

Prohibited listings: The following types of submissions are not allowed and will be rejected:

• Affiliate-only sites or link farms
• Coupon, deal, or cashback aggregators
• Gambling, casino, or betting products
• Adult or NSFW content
• Products with no working URL or landing page
• Low-effort placeholder or “coming soon” pages with no real product
• Cryptocurrency scams, pump-and-dump schemes, or fraudulent financial products
• Malware, spyware, or any software designed to harm users
• Products that infringe on intellectual property or trademarks
• Content that violates applicable laws

Review process: Every submitted project — both free and paid — goes through a manual review by our team before going live. We check for a working URL, a proper product description, a quality product image or logo, and overall relevance to our platform. This review may take several business days.

Free launches: Approval of free launches is at the sole discretion of the Shipycorn team. We have limited weekly slots and prioritize quality and relevance. Submitting a free launch does not guarantee approval or placement. There is no obligation for us to approve any free submission.

Approval notifications: You will receive an email when your project is approved or rejected. Rejected projects can be resubmitted after making the necessary improvements.

6. AI-Powered Features

Shipycorn uses artificial intelligence to enhance the user experience:

• AI Autofill: When you provide a website URL during project submission, our system fetches the publicly available content of that page and sends it to third-party AI providers (including DeepSeek, OpenAI, Google Gemini, xAI Grok, and OpenRouter) to generate a suggested project description, tagline, and category. You can review and edit all AI-generated content before submitting.
• Content Enhancement: To improve the quality and discoverability of projects, we may use AI to enhance, reformat, or optimize the detailed descriptions you provide. This may include improving readability, SEO optimization, or restructuring content while preserving the original meaning.

By using these features, you acknowledge that your website content may be processed by third-party AI services. No personal data beyond the publicly available website content is sent to these providers. You remain responsible for reviewing and approving all content before it is published on Shipycorn.

7. Content

Your Content: When you submit projects, comments, or other content on Shipycorn, you retain ownership, but grant us permission to display and use that content on our platform.

Responsibility: You're responsible for the content you submit. Make sure you have the right to share it and that it doesn't violate any laws or these terms.

Our Rights: We can remove any content at our discretion if we believe it violates these terms or might harm our platform, users, or third parties.

8. Payments & Refunds

Merchant of Record: All payments on Shipycorn are processed by Polar, which acts as our Merchant of Record. This means Polar is the legal entity that sells the product to you. Polar handles payment processing, invoicing, sales tax / VAT collection, currency conversion, and refund disbursement on our behalf. Your payment relationship is with Polar, and their terms of service apply to all transactions.

Premium launch fees: Premium launches are one-time payments. We do not store your credit card or billing details — all payment data is handled by Polar. Prices are displayed in USD and may vary depending on your region due to taxes applied by Polar.

Refund policy:

• Rejected launches: If your premium launch is rejected by Shipycorn during our review process, you are eligible for a full refund. Contact us or request it through Polar.
• Before launch date: If your launch has been approved but has not gone live yet, you may request a refund on a case-by-case basis.
• After launch: Once your project has gone live on Shipycorn and the premium benefits have been delivered (backlink, placement, spotlight), refunds are generally not available. Exceptions may be made at our discretion.
• How to request: All refund requests should be sent via our contact form or through Polar's refund process. Refunds are processed by Polar and typically take 5-10 business days to appear on your statement.

9. Intellectual Property

Shipycorn Platform: All rights to the Shipycorn platform, including its design, functionality, and proprietary features, are reserved by Shipycorn's owners. The platform code, design, and business logic may not be copied, modified, or distributed without explicit permission.

User Content: Content submitted by users (including project listings, comments, and profiles) remains the property of the respective users, who grant Shipycorn a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute that content on our platform and for promotional purposes.

10. Third-Party Content

Shipycorn may contain links to third-party websites or services, including projects. We're not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of these third parties.

Your interactions with third-party services are between you and that third party.

11. Termination

We can suspend or terminate your access to Shipycorn at any time, particularly if you:

• Violate these terms or our acceptable use policy
• Manipulate upvotes or rankings
• Submit spam, fake projects, or misleading content
• Abuse the platform or other users
• Attempt to circumvent our review or moderation processes

If your account is terminated, you'll no longer have access to your content or account information. Any active backlinks associated with your projects may be removed.

12. Disclaimers

Shipycorn is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

We're not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of any content posted by users or third parties.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Shipycorn and its team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from your use of or inability to use our service.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes, but it's your responsibility to review these terms periodically.

Your continued use of Shipycorn after changes means you accept the updated terms.
